WavePhore Networks Brings New Data Broadcast Network Online, Doubles Network Capacity
SALT LAKE CITY, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- WavePhore Networks, a division of WavePhore, Inc. (Nasdaq:WAVO) announced today that it has brought its newest data broadcast network on line, effectively doubling the amount of communications bandwidth available to its information company customers. The new network uses a combination of FM radio subcarriers and satellite transmission to simultaneously transmit news and information across the United States for WavePhore's information company customers. WavePhore currently delivers news and information for virtually all of the world's best-known news services and financial information providers, including Reuters, First Call Corporation (a division of Thomson Financial Services), Knight-Ridder/Tribune Business News, Federal News Service, and The Associated Press.
