Dear Condor, As the truth unfolds further, the story takes a new turn.. it is actually three not one country as NYT initially claimed, another small error and over enthusiasm on part of the paper that ran the story first in the morning.. a little justice would have required three names to be mentioned, is this fairness?

3 Countries May Have Helped N.Korea

WASHINGTON (AP) - Intelligence officials suspect that Russia, Pakistan and China are suppliers of equipment North Korea (news - web sites) has used to develop its nuclear weapons program, an allegation Moscow and Islamabad quickly denied Friday.

Moreover some of this could have had industrial application, it may not have been a straight sale for proliferation and they could have investigated a little more than accusing <<Two U.S. officials said Friday that while China is believed to be among North Korea's sources, Pakistan and Russia are its main suppliers of equipment needed to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons. Some of the equipment has industrial as well as military uses and passes through countries that may not know what North Korea is doing with it. >>

Since last 11th Sept this is the 23rd time an intentional error in NYT in relation to Pakistan has been highlighted on this page and I| sometime think that if this is the standard through which USA gets its news than it needs to be thoroughly revised
Al-Thura of Saddam provides similar picture of its ideological opponents, misinformation on this grand scale is the last thing this sorrowful world needs at this tragic juncture of mankind where human blood is being spilled without impunity.

The evil that we as Pakistanis constitute and collectively represent as one poorest nation of the world do have a silver lining, that is that we did stop the cold war and help dismantle the evil empire, that peace dividend from dismantling was worth a great service that not many nations of the earth have done to mother earth. We Pakistanis did our share to maintain peace on earth by fighting a proxy war on behalf of USA to bring the evil empire down. Thousands of nuclear tipped weapons are being dismantled and world is at greater peace with itself although fringe elements like radical Islam are raring its ugly head but it is minuscule in comparisons to threats that 60’s and 80’s posed!! As a Paki I take greatest of pride that we were not at the fringe anytime, we did our duty and our job beyond the call of duty and that is what I appreciate, I see the silver lining and contribution more than damage.

NYT fails to see what Pakis have contributed in its zeal to malign this poor nation they go the extra mile and today’s report is one additional example of this yellow journalism that is perpetrated without any challenge in America, the intellectuals in America should take notice of the bias and media helping rising of temperatures. From Bali to Tangiers the radicals are up in arms, the Americans need as much domestic help as possible to subdue this new challenge to collective peace of mankind, NYT by creating new enemies does not help create friendly pastures for a government that has very successful in sewing up an anti-terror alliance that is unique and goes beyond the natural boundaries of cultural and ideological divides.

The cooling down of temperatures after cold war is a result of unwinding of the evil empire, the country called Pakistan and termed as a late convert to anti terror derive had one of the greatest contributions, although out of the vacuum that was created due to sudden disengagement in the region resulted the crisis of new millennium the crisis of militant Islam that rose its ugly head from suburban Tehran under Khomieni and have now been hijacked in its more militant and terrible form by likes of Osama, we little children understand it well, for us it is important to put the record straight.
