I got taunted by two separate friends today. One a former co-worker, and one an older student who has some money in the market. Neither has wanted to talk about stocks for over 1.5 years now, where as we used to discuss them, at least in passing, before then. Before today, they would steer the discussion immediately away, but today I got some taunting....

from the one who held (and continues to hold) 1400 shares of SUNW from the high 80's I heard "give me one good reason why the stock market will go below the lows again" as I began to say something about the gaps, options expiration, he said "yeah, but they have gone up over 1000 points in 1 one week".

The other taunt, from a former co-worker was more like (sarcastic tone of voice) "yeah, what happened to below 1000 on NASDAQ? You bears were exuberant just like the bulls at 5000, now is the time to be getting back in, there are some good values out there "...

oh well, neither mentioned how much gold sucks, that was kind of a bummer. Time to buy calls.
