The difference is, these are attacks on innocent civilians, and hostages. Show me a US training manual which advocates execution of hostages... or intentional killing of noncombatants... or shooting a 13-year old kid on his way into school.

The only thing I disagreed with in the previous post was the idea that one ought to have to "reevaluate" their motivation. After September 11, no one ought to have had any illusions which needed to be reevaluated.
