maybe mikus paid too much for usmd - the reaction to the 8-K means that the market thinks so. the revenue from that source - $2mm last qtr - was possibly projected even higher going forward. the co. said > $5mm '02. now those projections are dumped and the high margin income that was in the concensus $0.11 gets pulled out leaving $??.?? makes me wonder if usmd didn't juice the sales somehow to build up steam going into negotiations - but that's wild speculation. now there's nothing to do but wait for the earnings warning that must be just around the corner. i think i'll hedge my poorly timed purchase - probably sell calls and let the dust settle. as n2scoring on yahoo said - there's been a lot of technical damage done to this stock. it will take some time to repair. and some good news. jim
