People never like war leaders in peacetime. By "war leader" I mean people like Sharon, Churchill. They are always up for a fight.

They are hammers, and every problem is a nail.

But they are very good at waging war.

I have already expressed my distaste for some of Sharon's actions, but I'll be damned if I can think of a way out, other than, as the author suggests, a joint occupying force that will reconstruct Palestine, which does not deserve even the term "failed state."
