A Democrat Story:
In 2001 Nevada received a 3rd House district. The State Republicans made concessions on House re-districting in exchange for concessions in districting for the state legislature.
A young, attractive, liberal, emerging Hispanic county commissioner, Dario Herrera, was chosen by the Dems to easily occupy the new seat. Yucca Mountain, the senior drug scam, Social Security scare propaganda in the retirement communities, and the propaganda blaming Bush for the Clinton recession, were going to make this seat a cinch (and most likely replace a re-districting loss somewhere in the "Blue Zone").
Herrera was considered by many pointy-headed Dems as an "emerging Hispanic Bill Clinton", and a good prospect for the next Senate race, when Harry Reid announces he will avoid the 2004 campaign.
The Clinton image, as it does everywhere, has turned into a nightmare for the Democratic party. Trying to haul the heavy baggage of shady ethical dealings through a campaign where, it appears, young, lower-income Hispanic voters are please to have settled in America, but not too interested in participating in elections, Herrera was falling further behind in the race. Yesterday the national Dem campaign cut off his TV advertising money, because they desperately need it in House races where they MIGHT still have a chance.

But that coffin was laid out way back in 1992, when they fooled the public into letting William the Bastard occupy the White House. It has become obvious, going into this off-year, that the Democratic party and their puppet-masters, the American left, are dead serious about moral relativism, and thus are no longer capable of nominating an honest man for any office. They have come to symbolize the movement against integrity. It will hurt them badly in two weeks, but that's just a prelude to the disaster that awaits them in 2004... |
