If we blame every terrorist attack on Al Qaeda, if we universalize what are often local animosities and assign every explosive charge and petrol bomb to America's particular enemies, we shall miss our target.

This was Al Qaeda; Al Qaeda says so, even the Guardian reports it. Can we not agree on known facts?

I guess not, if your real aim is to prove that nothing the Bush adminstration says can possibly be true.
