A19,

Golfing was great.

Several of the 15 dudes playing with us golfed for the first time ever yesterday. A couple of them seemed to catch the fever.

You know. That fever you get when you finally hit one perfectly.

One dude drained a 25 foot put.

Another dude used his pitching wedge from 50 feet out and put the ball inside 6 feet of the cup.

Some of the guys like myself had a few memorable shots.

By the end of the day, you could hear a few people talking about investing in a better set of clubs and promising how we should make this a yearly tournament.

As a group we did very well considering the amount of beer we drank along the way.

We lost a total of 108 golf balls, 4 driver covers (those sock looking things that protect the woods), 3 wedges (left on the putting green), but only lost one golf cart.

Not bad.

<g>

I had 4 perfect drives.
They were long and straight. This was amazing considering the strong blowing winds.

In fact two of the longest shot were during the last two holes where all of us played together at the same time.
The pressure was on as all these eyes were watching. Everyone was making noise and trying to say something funny to distract you. By some miracle, this got me to focus enough through the beer haze, and I hit two perfect shots where everyone stood in amazement.
Then I proceeded to walk off the tee bax as if it was no big deal.

Then I followed up by taking divots that flew 10 yards past my dribbling golf ball.
The moon had smaller craters...

We had a blast an a million laughs.

It was a nice course. I'd like to play it for real someday without as much beer. The course provides some nice challenges.
