I said WE (the US) would be better off. Gosh you read things funny. I would prefer it if the twin towers had not been attacked. Could you fail to understand that? Al Quaeda is "mad" at the US because of our mideast involvement, supporting the only democracy in the region and our presence in the Muslim holy lands.....they were obviously grateful for US non-intervention in post war Afghanistan....and your suggestion that Afghanistan would be better off under the thumb of the repressive Soviets and their puppet regime.....well.....that just says it all about you, doesn't it?
