I have To Disagree On A Couple Of Points

"How the hell do you get people who are fiercely trying to steal money off each other to cooperate to take the market in one direction or another?"

By definition competition reduces profitability. I think the word is oligopoly.

I follow the aggregate RP's outstanding very closely and in almost every case significant increases in RP's outstanding has occured simultaneous with the inception of a rally, not subsequent to.

The fact that the overnight Futures are not always utilized to create a rally does not mean anything. I wouldn't expect them to always to anything. However the futures have been a significant feature in every rally we have had in the last few months. Look at a small interval intraday chart which has $SPX and $PREM ($SPINX) on it. Declines in SPX are constantly met by increases in PREM. To the extent that the rally was real this would not be the case.
