Watching Bloomberg channel right now. The reporter asks Chuck Hill from Thompson's First Call how all of these companies beating estimates isn't an earnings recovery. Are these people that stupid? 1. These were lowered estimates 2. The earnings estimates are below last year's earnings 3. EPS is easily fudged by reducing the number of shares 4. Who gives a crap about earnings anyway, show me topline growth with better earnings and then I will start to get excited.
