David, I consider your points very valid. I think a buyout is out of the question and haven't considered it a factor. My break even point is close enough where taking a loss now would be a bad move for me. Also my tolerance for risk doesn't include writing options. I normally don't put a lot of weight on charts. I use them a little bit if everything else looks OK. In Novells case I may be looking at charts more than usual because this pattern hasn't been there before. Can't form a bottom until the price stops dropping and it hasn't stopped for five years. Your point on customer perception I believe is the key to Novells sucess or failure. Advertizing is routine maintance on a sucessful business and Novell is in a sad state of repair due to lack of maintance. Novell is a fixer-upper for sure. For now my best bet is to sit on my hands and wait it out. Regards, Don
