<By year-end, Cephalon hopes to have results of a
clinical trial in which Provigil is being tested to
reduce sleepiness in people who work the graveyard shift.>

I eagerly await the result!

We shiftworkers use stuff like Ambien for sleeping,
coffee and tea for staying awake--at least until
the drive home; then you try to spin down yet not
fall asleep. But I digress...

And if your shifts happen to rotate, let me tell
you, there is little hope to get off the drugs.
My rotation is six weeks, and coming back to days
is a real killer. So I'd use Provigil for a couple
days there too, before my clock resets.

Provigil is going to be a very interesting story.

fwiw...there are some moderate side effects with my
current drug regimen. I can only use the Ambien a few
days at a time--tends to make me depressed. And the
caffiene, well, upsets my bowel. 'Nuff said on that.

Hey, can I test drive Provigil off-label? Is that
the right jargon--it isn't making anybody phychotic
anything is it?

The shiftworkers battle against circadian rhythms
nees a few more drugs in the arsenal.
