Hi Barry; There are a lot of people buying options now days, and that
seems to run up the price, both puts and calls. I had IBM pegged
yesterday but didn't buy any puts as the cost was just to rich for
me. AOL has gotten way worse cost wise on playing options since
I started, so it's time to give her a break any way.
You can't really come out if too many people short a stock, then
the odds roll aginst you, or the amount you can make gets down so
bad that you can't afford many mistakes, and that's no good.
AOL had short covering yesterday and early today, then when she
bounced to 66.5 she was shorted again..( that buch will likly
get picked off my guess is they put stops at 68 )..and the Big boys
will take it up there and pick them off as they have a ready market..
AOL never came down to my target of 60 for buying calls, as to many
shorts covered. Looks like I'l just be watching from here on out
except if she makes 80 before I sail I'll get some more Jan 98 puts.
Jim
