Of course it is subject to misuse, but no more or less so than any other measure of financial performance or risk. But the quote you chose still demonstrates a lack of understanding of its proper use and the article, like most others on this subject, still improperly discounts or dismisses its value when properly used. You said "good point" to what was not a good point at all. This isn't complicated, GST.
