I believe the intelligence services are still trying to figure out who Atta met on his mutliple trips to Damascus, however.

You can quit "aha-ing" over this. The pro-war arguments in no way depend on finding operational cooperation between Iraq and Al Qaeda pre 9/11. Preventing Saddam from getting nukes is quite reason enough.

That such a cooperation exists now is clear from Al Qaeda's threats to launch attacks in order to prevent an American invasion of Iraq.
