well you can't fault me because the definition of .NET is constantly changing!

A bunch of software companies around here in 2000 (elecron economy, for one) had your basic b2b platform software product and were using (some aspect of) .NET as a replacement for the standard webmethods b2bi bolt on. That was my entire exposure to .NET. Of course just the fact that nobody seemed to be doing much else with it in the enterprise area says something.
