So you blame the customer for Microsoft's "bloated problematic software?"

I blame MSFT for trying to give people what they said they wanted. MSFT shouldn't have done that. MSFT should only have given them what MSFT wanted. That would have been in user's interests because far more R&D would have gone into products and we would have been saddled with less Beta testing.

The Internet is based on open standards.

Maybe that's why Microsoft avoided it like the plague for so long while pushing their proprietary MSN.

Maybe it isn't.

Of course, by your reasoning the Internet will never amount to much.

How's that? My comments only imply that the Net in its current form isn't profitable. Can you refute that?

It is possible to make money using the Net just like it's possible to make money using the freeway.
