Hi Nadine Carroll; Re: "They're spending it searching the morgues for their four bridesmaids two of Maria's sisters plus two friends. Imagine that: For as long as you live, your wedding anniversary will also be the anniversary of the murder of your family and friends."

Kind of ironic that Mark Steyn would choose to call attention to wedding parties that are devastated by violence. I wonder if he remembered what happened in Afghanistan recently. Accident or not, it's not a good idea to pick on civilians.

Oh, and I see from today's news that the right wingers now in power in Israel have finally halted the terror problem there. That was the final suicide bombing, wasn't it?

As I'm sure you realise, this reasoning is bogus. The Israelis were under no illusion that suicide bombing would suddenly stop, especially if they were forced to pull out of cities so quickly. Like most maufacturing enterprises, suicide bombing has a pipeline, and the security forces knew that a good number of already 'manufactured' bombers had been dispersed and were ready to go.
...
We will have to see how it plays out. The costs in human destructrion, further radicalization, and terrible PR are obvious. It will take some time to see if any of the goals were achieved.
