David, It is true Republicans will try to take away the only defense the citizenry has against either criminal or criminally negligent corporations. Not to say that some of the lawsuits aren't stupid (the hot coffee at McDonald's. Street criminals who sue those who interfere with muggings, robberies and rapes.). They are. But those make the headlines while the lawsuits that rein in corporation criminal greed are hidden on the back pages.
