Donald Waite Brings Wealth of Business Experience in Real World Situations
MILPITAS, Calif., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Donald Waite, executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of Seagate Technology, has been approved by shareholders' vote to join California Micro Devices' Board of Directors. This appointment was made possible by California Micro Devices' recent amendment to eliminate cumulative voting.
As a senior executive at Seagate Technology, Don Waite has day to day responsibility for Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Investor Relations, Facilities, Security, and Environmental Health and Safety departments.
Waite has over 40 years of experience in finance, accounting and administration. Before joining Seagate in 1983, he held vice president of Finance positions at Osborne Computer Corporation, Measurex Corporation and Memorex Corporation. Waite began his professional career with the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. Five years later, he joined Bell & Howell Company, rising to the position of senior vice president of Finance and Administration.
A native of Iowa, Waite attended Creighton University in Nebraska where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also holds a Law Degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C., and is a certified public accountant.
