MILPITAS, Calif., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Donald Waite, executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief
administrative officer of Seagate Technology, has been approved by shareholders' vote to join California Micro
Devices' Board of Directors. This appointment was made possible by California Micro Devices' recent amendment

Waite has over 40 years of experience in finance, accounting and administration. Before joining Seagate in 1983, he
held vice president of Finance positions at Osborne Computer Corporation, Measurex Corporation and Memorex
Corporation. Waite began his professional career with the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. Five
years later, he joined Bell & Howell Company, rising to the position of senior vice president of Finance and
Administration.

A native of Iowa, Waite attended Creighton University in Nebraska where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree
in Accounting. He also holds a Law Degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C., and is a
certified public accountant.

``Donald Waite is a highly respected executive with keen financial acumen,'' explained Jeffrey Kalb, President and
CEO of California Micro Devices. ``Mr. Waite's vast experience will be a welcome addition to our board.''
