Wave actually uses cybercash to process it's credit card transactions today. They charge use 1-2% more than going direct to the banking infrastructure but save us 400 -500 per month in having a dedicated connection to the banks. The MBA analysis is easy. when 1% = 400 + per month we will go direct and cut out the middle man. These are the same economics for everyone.

Wave has chosen to work with any form of currency visa, mastercard, cash, Purchase orders, Cybercash... We have only fully implemented credit cards and we have received no demand for anything else. If I had 1 or 2 customers who called up asking to spend their Cyber dollars on wave products we would probably implement it.

The competitive issue is how wave provides a content provider Web distribution, CD-ROM distribution, ADSL distribution, Satilite Distribution.... re use the content and support all of the delivery channels. All of the other systems you have been discussing are INTERNET dependent and won't necessarily support all of the other systems.

To really understand the differences on just the internet spend $1.oo on the wave system and then spend 1.00 on every other system. I would enjoy an impartial evaluation. We think time to first trnasaction is critical. Try tipping the webmaster $1.00 on sprague.com
