So with all this new talk of money, extortion and the pendulum of sentiment (at least for some of us) swinging back toward this being the work of a foreign terrorist: could it be that we've got a shooter who, while seemingly ambivalent to being caught or killed, wants to use the situation to his advantage, setting himself up financially (if he were to escape) or - more likely his family - in the meantime?

The bloody, seeping underbelly of something resembling enterpreneurialism behind the scope?
