Messing around with some market valuation metrics tonight and using the Six Factor Model, which is the most comprehensive model using price, earnings, equity risk premiums, 10-yr bonds, inflation, and yield curve spreads you get a current target value on the S&P of 578.

That's a P/E of 16 based on next years earnings and 23 based on current year earnings.

Fair market for the Fed is 852
