Re: The problem in your post is largely that you don't realize the cops chase in earnest. One doesn't have to be told. [...] from the top to the bottom of society and government.
How do you know? Are you a topsider of a US law enforcement outfit? If you're, then what are you fooling around this thread? You'd make a better use of US tax-dollars helping Chief Mooch snatch the Israeli hitwomen!
Let me tell you again: in Belgium, we've been through the same mess you're in right now. Back in 1982/85, some Belgian cops earnestly tried to identify and arrest the murderers who coldly shot 29 innocent punters --including children... However, as years and decades passed, people eventually realized that, higher up the chain of command, the top brass didn't want the truth to be known. That's why, 20 years later, Belgium is still clueless about the so-called "Tueurs fous du Brabant Wallon" --the "Brabant Wallon Mad Killers". Revealingly, I've noticed that the same qualifier is used about the DC sniper --the Mad Shooter/Sniper.
So, I don't question the loyalty of the thousands of low-level cops who are crisscrossing Maryland, Virginia and DC --they're doing their job in earnest, if in vain. However, I don't trust at all the higher levels, namely, the Justice dept and Ashcroft, FBI boss Mueller and CIA crooks. It's clear that they favor the current strategy of a big "cat-and-mouse" TV-show to mystify public opinion. But everybody familiar with international terrorism's murky waters perfectly knows that the best and only way to solve the DC snipers crisis is to handle it from the top down. List all male and female DC/Maryland residents aged between 25 and 35 who've travelled in Israel over the past 10 years and I bet you 100 euros that you'll have done half the job.
