This is foreign policy Bob -- those ARE the facts. Welcome to a world where you don't seem to know your way around. Spin the facts if you like. Do your unemployed technocratic armchair thing with them. Get out your Wesbsters dictionary and redefine words, as if that will make the issues go away. Ignore the reality of the situation and act like this is just about Democrats versus Republicans instead of about how many young Americans will be needlessly killed and crippled. Do anything you like Bob. But those are the facts in the world of foreign policy. We, the United States of America, screwed this one up and screwed it up good. Our political leadership has failed us. The world will not end. MOst of us won't be too deeply affected, at least not immediately. But this political incompetence will cost us dearly as a country and it is almost certainly going to cost American lives. The military operate in an environment where politicians set the stage -- and the politicians in this case have been incompetent in doing their job.
