How is it more "racist" than your statement Arab "culture" and "civilisations" have failed?
Nooo, Nadine, we're much, much too smart to let that fly by without hitting it out of the park! Such softballs, Nadine, tsk, tsk... your Debka is slipping.
Cultures and civilizations (for that matter economic systems etc.) can be judged with very exacting OBJECTIVE standards. Such as: of the Western and African cultures, it is the Western that has been more successful at creating technology. That does not imply that Africans are INFERIOR people genetically - the essence of racism - that there is something innate to them, some special racial characteristic that makes them create such a culture, or civilization. For, you can take that African out of that culture, and he can be equally successful in the Western culture. So too for economic systems and civilizations. East and West Germans - same people, different systems, one failed one not. But no racism - same people. North and South Korea. Western culture and Arab/Islamic cultures.
So, to say that the "East German system, or civilization, has really failed" (communism, or any other failed ism) - is not racist.
But it is a whole different kettle of fish to say:
"Arab cultures have failed"
and
"Arabs are really good at hate"
Now, I would NEVER make the latter statement - and you try to imply antisemitism? Glass houses, stones.
In one case you are implying innate characteristics, and in the other you are stating objective facts (measured by gross national product, etc.), facts which have nothing to do with the racial/ethnic characteristics of the people.
Oh, I've got you on a hook here, and I simply won't let go - so I say, we call it a truce. I stop the PC drubbing you're getting, and you stop the "invisible antisemitism based on an a secret code accessible to me as a Jew" balderdash.
We can go round and round on this as long as you wish, though I think it is a better use of time to discuss substantive issues. |
