<<Dow Jones)- Peru's gold output rose 23% in September >>

Does that change your short term projection / direction?

No, it confirms my long-term projection / direction.

ACTION: Gold mining firms will be unable to help themselves by producing what they can, where they can, to take advantage of current higher average prices.

REACTION 1: Continued strong production might continue to cap gold at $330 for 2002, $350-375 for 2003, making the long-term rise I still expect more gradual (and more frustrating to goldbugs)

REACTION 2: It also may make predictions of gold production plummeting to as low as 1800mt by 2010 seem as ridiculous to all as it currently seems to apparently only me.
