Absolutely, I agree. Yes the dead are dead. We can only hope they did not die completely in vain.

No need to lighten up, IMO. There is plenty of lightness on the thread already.

Basically the point I am trying to make is against wholesale relativism. If savagery is merely in the eye of the beholder, we have little hope for survival. So arguing the particular contexts is important, IMO.
