The sources said the men were not suspects, but authorities wanted to speak with them. Williams had prior Army service at Fort Lewis, 14 miles from the home being searched, according to Defense Department sources. He was not sniper trained and was not in the Special Forces but served on the conventional side at Fort Lewis, the officials said. The two men are believed to be driving a 1990 blue and burgundy 1990 Chevrolet Caprice with a New Jersey license plate NDA-21Z that authorities in the D.C. metropolitan region are on the lookout for, law enforcement sources told CNN Wednesday night.
