TOKYO, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Delphi Corporation (NYSE: DPH) will debut many new technologies for the first time in Asia Pacific at the 36th Annual Tokyo Motor Show. Delphi, one of the world's largest suppliers of diesel technologies, will feature a range of diesel fuel injection technologies including both light and medium-duty diesel common rail systems as well as its compact electronic unit injection (EUI) fuel system for heavy-duty applications. "The E3 is the world's most sophisticated EUI," Delphi's global director for commercial vehicles, Greg Kochendorfer, said. "It is a substantial step beyond today's technology, providing reduced emissions and improved fuel efficiency. It is a great example of how Delphi is designing complete solutions for complex issues facing the commercial vehicle industry."

Another Delphi safety and convenience innovation, the power sliding door module, first popularized on passenger vans, and now an industry standard, is also available for commercial vehicles in Europe and Asia Pacific. It will be displayed alongside integrated door modules, which save vehicle manufacturers assembly cost and time by integrating up to 85 percent of the door's total content. Other important technologies to be featured by Delphi include 42V system components, long-life absorbent glass mat batteries and a range of connection systems, switches and sensors designed specifically for commercial vehicle electrical systems.

All of these products are based on solid engineering and technological innovation specifically developed to help enhance vehicle safety and driving performance for the commercial vehicle industry, while also helping to reduce fleet operating costs.

Delphi will also announce new technologies and business wins that confirm its growth in the Asia Pacific market as well as its position as one of the world's leading suppliers of high technology to the commercial vehicle segment.
