You may have noticed, or you may not, I don't know, that after you took the hate crowd elsewhere we were having a very pleasant time here on this thread. Oh, a few dust-ups, such as Solon and Neo going at it, but nothing like we had when the hate crowd were here in full force.

it was a quite pleasant and enjoyable place with them gone, and I appreciated your taking them away.

But the hate crowd are people who can't stand to see other people being happy, especially those they think should be unhappy. They thought by departing they would destroy this thread. But they didn't.

So they invaded this then generally pleasant thread and have brought back a full renewal of their bile and hate. None of them has made a single positive post here, none of them has participated in any constructive way in any of the interesting discussions that were going on.

It's really quite sad that people feel the need to destroy what they can't enjoy. Really quite sad. Much like the fat, unliked little boy who sees others having a good time in the swimming pool without him, so feels the need to do a cannonball right into the middle of their happy game. That's what the hate crowd here on SI is like.

I had hoped -- still hope -- that you weren't part of it.

Are you?

Is that really a pattern you want to take on, too?
