Good numbers J and Carey. Packard Bell will ship close to 700K units in the US, Q4, 1997. How many with DVD? US is a target market for DVD, but so in Japan, and Europe. The sure thing is almost 100% of the PC units shipped in Q4, 1998, will have a DVD unit.

The other thing that winning Packard Bell suggests, is that ZiVA must be the low cost DVD solution. Packard Bell got is reputation from buying anything that was cheaper. A few years ago, weren't they the box maker that had some problem when they were putting used parts in new boxes?
