if two years ago I succeeded in leaping over a 7-foot bar, then crowd noise could be expected, as would gate receipts

now the bar has been repeatedly lowered to one level after another, successively lower
now down to 2'6"
and applause is expected
no way

I say instead, WHY CANT 90% BEAT THESE LOW BARS???
answer: because a recession is coming, and business is deteriorating
