Newmont had one of those "gold production plummet slide" (1800mt by 2010) in their recent presentation. Folks have been incorrectly predicting gold production dropping for years, so it better start soon if it is going cown 30% in the next 7 years. FYI: Last time world gold production was under 1800mt - 1987 ! Another Report: AVGold has their mine in a nice ramp up mode. They did 99K for Q3 versus 92K for all of 2001. For nine months they have done 210K, should do 300K+ for the year (moves them into top 25 worldwide producers) Disclosure: Bought some GFI today
