Hi Al,

I don't doubt that Enron had some trauma and Compaq going the HP way probably hurt too.Although I think CPQ cut back a lot prior to that.

I guess our Nafta trade/seaport and of course the oil patch thrives on $30.00 dollar oil.Houston seems to have a stable economy as tech isn't a big factor. Our refining and drilling technology are quite stable. It only gets shaky when oil gets below 14.00 a barrel and OPEC does too good a job to let that happen very long.

I live in the fastest growing Real Estate development in Houston (The Woodlands) - for the last 4 years they have set new home sales records.

Haven't seen a slowdown in existing sales yet.

Seems like tech just doesn't impact Houston to the same degree.

Thank Goodness.

We'll set up for a good 03.

What we need is to take the terror edge off our lifestyle. If only to know that they must run fast and not be able to slow down.

Keep them running - concentrate them and exterminate them.

Once we get a little pay back things will approach a more normal state.

JMHO
