rhetorical support for the 2nd clause If it was only rhetorical, why did it mention militias and not to prevent indian attacks, or tory traitors, or to keep the government honest. I think the answer is pretty clear, only it doesn't support an unrestricted right, without precondition, to all individuals. TP
