<Friends come and go, enemies accumulate. When minority groups are treated fairly, wherever they may be, and the process in whole is democratic, there would be less worries on defense. To sum, deadlier than ever attacks is easier than ever.
For example, I am anticipating a change of tactics by the IRA in Northern Ireland soon.>
Hi Jay. Surprise, surprise. The deadlier than ever attack with boxcutters is now history. The resulting change of tactics by the IRA was not what you expected! They cynically apologized and their criminally stupid American supporters have cut off most of the cash flow [with USA law banning support of terrorist organizations helping create the change - it was always surprising to me that the USA was keen on supporting terrorism].
The IRA is now trying to act civilized. They can't do it of course, just as African dictators put the silly hats on, decorative uniforms, and have a lot of saluting, but they don't understand what makes civilization tick, so they revert to barbarism. Heck, the countries where the inventors of civilization lived don't have much grasp of what makes it tick, so it's not surprising that those who enjoyed the benefits of civilization as a result of colonization had trouble maintaining it after the colonists left.
It's interesting reviewing old posts from long ago. We can see how right or wrong we were.
