Wow, press release out, Verizon Wireless added over 800K new wireless customers in the last QUARTER. This number was way above the top of analysts estimates. Also, Verizon itself is zooming: "During the third quarter, Verizon added 804,000 new long-distance customers for a total of 9.8 million customers. It added 155,000 new digital subscriber lines (DSL) that offer high-speed Internet access, bringing its total to 1.64 million. " VW and Verizon will need to add lots of boxes to maintain service, with their customer bases growing at that clip. If the boxes come from LU, that could help explain Russo's optimism about LU's next quarter revs. I think we'll finally start seeing some telecom capacity constrained during 03, so revs will have to head up for the equipment vendors. Those that are still around! John
