Kuwait and Iraq were both carved out of the Ottoman Empire. Yes the carving was to suit British geopolitical interests but at the time the carving was done there was no Iraq to carve Kuwait out of.

Correct. There is no such government precisely because the U.S. fears what I said. A true world government would immediately punish the U.S. for its assaults on other nations, and would remove all authority from the U.S.

The countries in most of the rest of the world reguarly act worse then the US particuarly in regards to how they treat their own people. The tribunal to determine our guilt would be like having a Ted Bundy as the judge and the Mason family as the jury over a grand theft auto case.

No nation in the history of the world has had as much relative power as the US and used it more responsibily then we have.

Colin Powell feared that Saddam might retreat and install a puppet regime in Kuwait, and that "everyone in the Arab world will be happy". President Bush was concerned that Saudi Arabia might "bug out at the last minute and accept a puppet regime in Kuwait".

True or not this is not relevant to your earlier statement. "Neither did Saddam. He backed out."

Saddam did seize control of Kuwait, and he "backed out" only when pushed out. He didn't choose to back out.

Given the track record of the CIA, insanity is more likely in people
who disbelieve this scenario.

That is a very irrational statement. Even if the CIA was as bad as its worst detractors claim it can not do everything that people have claimed it has done. Lacking specific evidence that the CIA did do a particular operation the rational course is to be somewhat skeptical when encountering such claims.

Also I did not say you were insane or paranoid. I said the claim was paranoid. Sane people do believe irrational things at times.

I didn't follow the link to read more but I read your entire quote. All it amounts to is that you have found a web site that agrees with you. Its no more evidence for the idea then your claim is evidence.

" but even if it is true it doesn't change anything, it would not give Saddam a right to invade Kuwait or to violate the cease fire agreements."

Wrong. Kuwait stole oil from Iraq, justifying the invasion (the U.S. agreed at the time).

Saddam claims this but it has not been fully established and even if true it does not justify a bolt from the blue invasion and conquest nor does it have anything to do with Saddam violating the cease fire agreements.
