I don't see it that way. I see it as a matter of having to take a stand, at times.......There was this girl, a couple of years older than I, in my neighborhood growing up. She was a terrible bully. She bossed around all the younger kids, and slapped us if we didn't hop to it. I was about 5 or 6, and I told my mother about it, asking what to do, since I couldn't hit a girl. She told me that the next time Pam slapped me, I should slap her back hard. So, indeed, the next time she hit me, I slapped her. She was completely stunned, and got a little teary, and left. Never again did she slap me, or anyone else in front of me, and she started to behave much better when playing with the rest of us, in general. My mother was right. The girl just had contempt for us, and thought she could get away with anything, until I fought back........
