Hi Maurice, some of the stevedores make USD 116,000 per annum. As you probably know, the current strike is not directly about pay but about automation and number of hours worked. The fellowship of the ports want to block automation ala HK container port, and would like to work fewer hours at the same time, so that more of their relations can get hired, the better to milk the globalization bonanza.
