i agree, i've been in the top bracket for a while as well, and i do not feel the tax code has me carrying my share. nobody making less than 2*poverty line (or something like that) should be paying any taxes/FICA, period, which would require the rest of us to pay more.

considering social security doesn't even pay for itself (over the long run) an earnings cap for FICA is ludicrous.
