Pearly,

Are you sure that you recommend Creature from Jekyll Island as an introduction to economics? Not only does the book advance some threadbare and unprovable conspiracy theories, but it's difficult for me to take seriously someone who has written an encomium titled The Life and Words of Robert Welch (Welch was the founder of the John Birch Society. In Greenwood, Indiana, where the JBS at one time had its headquarters, the KKK would ride around in the mid 1960s in their hoods and robes on the back of flatbed trucks. Something tells me that the membership of the two societies had considerable overlap -ng-).
