The following table is an assessment of the individual SOX elements over the past 4 weeks.(9/28 thru 10/25) The first 3 columns show Friday's closing price, the present 12 month consensus price target and the percent difference between the two columns. The 4th column shows the decrease in target price over the past 4 weeks. The 5th and 6th columns show the number of estimate changes over the past 4 weeks. Looking at the 4th column, only 2 stocks, AMAT and LSCC, have not had price reductions in the past 4 weeks. At the bottom line, the target price reduction is 67, approximately a 20 percent reduction over the past 4 weeks. Note the extreme negativity in downward revisions in columns 5 and 6. As an example, INTC, KLAC and TXN have each had 22 downward revisions with 0 upward revisions.
