As for the Belafonte-Powell bit, I certainly would not call that racism. It's raising the criticism level to much too high a decibell level. It's racism John... And if you can, in good conscience, defend Belafonte's using such language, then I have to question just where you personally define the line with regard to your prejudice. Belafonte clearly tried to assert that the only reason Powell is in the position that he currently holds is due to his serving his "white masters"... Makes me wonder whether "The Banana Boat" song (Day-O) was Belafonte's idea of currying favor with HIS "white masters"... Both Powell and Belafonte EARNED what they have achieved. And I'm sure Belafonte would concur. But by denying that same right to Powell, he has essentially denigrated his accomplishments to being a mere "uncle-tom" and "token black".. Hawk
