9:49: It takes the F-16's from Langley 19 minutes to reach Washington. This means their average flight speed was only 27.4% of their top speed in trying to protect our nations capital. Langley is 130 miles from the Pentagon - F-16's have a top speed of 1500 MPH - 60 minutes divided by 19 minutes = 3.16 x 130 miles = 410.5 MPH divided by 1500 MPH = 27.4%.

JO... I live in the DC area... OK?? I heard the LOUDEST Sonic Boom in my life about 10 (could have been 15-20 minutes) after the Pentagon attack (thought it was another attack, in fact)....

I was later told that it was an F-16 from Langley who had been told to "kick it in the @ss and get there yesterday"...

You don't get sonic booms, let alone ones that forceful and loud, by traveling at a leisurely 400 MPH. The bottom line is that no one dilly-dallied about get on target as quickly as they could, especially when the target was the Pentagon.. That just doesn't make sense.

So why don't you "just observe" some more credible sources than one of Al Gore's relatives.
