Horse potatoes. The whole argument is nothing but a straw man. There could have been a hundred fighters in the sky, shadowing the hijacked planes. At what point do you decide to start shooting them down? Vidal implicitly claims they should have all been shot down before any of them hit anything. Do you consider that a logical, rational proposition?
