Because it is a fact that Israel is an existing State and therefore has as much right to exist as any other State. All of the arguments about how it came into existence and the validity of its claims are meaningles. Unless as your post suggests we are going to examine how every existing country came into existence and if we don't like what we find, return the country to whoever claimed it before. Since this is patently ridiculous, the right of Israel to exist is clear. The problem with the Palestinians is that they refuse to accept this reality. If they could, they would have a country today. But they are living in a past that will never return and continue to bring pain, suffering and misery on themselves.
